Robert Remington is a former columnist and editorial writer with the Calgary Herald. His journalism career has taken him to Pakistan, East Africa, Europe, India, Central Asia, the Middle East and Central America. He was formerly a western Canadian correspondent for the National Post, an editor, columnist and reporter at The Edmonton Journal, and a syndicated columnist for United Features, New York.
He is the co-author of Runaway Devil, released in the U.S. and Canada in 2009 by McClelland & Stewart. A Canadian bestseller, it is the true story of a 12-year-old girl convicted of murdering her family with the help of her 23-year-old boyfriend.
Mandolinist, vocalist and guitarist, he has been a three-time finalist in the Calgary Folk Music Festival songwriting competition.
